REN GEISICK
After complete a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance from Cal State Long Beach where she was awarded the Ella Fitzgerald Scholarship and was named outstanding undergraduate vocalist by Downbeat Magazine, Ren Geisick returned to the Bay Area. Since 2012, she has been living and performing in the Bay Area and has become a fixture in the growing music and arts scene. San Jose Jazz featured her as an artist to watch in their “Eye on the Scene” blog series in 2014 and in April of 2015 Ren had the rare opportunity to sing on the Yoshi’s stage for the Living Jazz, Jazz Search West Finals, where she placed in the top four artists. Ren is going down to L.A. in September to record her debut album produced by Jesse Harris and featuring originals, jazz and country tunes for a unique sound that is all her own.
