The New Jersey native spent 6 years studying with Juilliard's Daniel Cataneo before entering the jazz program at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia, graduating in 2015. James takes insiration from jazz, classical, metal, hip-hop, and world music to achieve his compositional and improvisational pursuits.
