Cris Carrera

Cris Carrera is a bassist from McAllen, Texas but is currently residing in San Francisco. Upon his arrival to California, he has performed at the Monterrey Jazz Festival, The Black Cat Jazz Club (San Francisco), Cafe Stritch (San Jose), Bird and Beckett Books and Records (SF), and the B Side Restaurant (SF). He aims to create strong grooves in his bass lines while still having a melodic voice on his instrument. Cris is in the inaugural class of the San Francisco Conservatory's new "Roots, Jazz, and American Music" Program and is also studying classical double bass.
